We're looking for an experienced and self-motivated engineer to work on customer premises in the UK as our Database Infrastructure Specialist. Join the team of highly skilled technical experts who build and maintain our clients' technical landscapes through tailored support services.
This is an onsite role with customers 5 days per week, in London and UK South
Responsibilities
What you'll do
Become our customers trusted technical advisor and develop a deep knowledge of their systems and needs. You'll support the operation of infrastructure and platform deployments onsite and in cloud, delivering services that drive customer success and innovation.
Provide production operation support for ODI. Support the stability, availability, and performance of critical business systems. Install, configure, and operate Exadata and other Oracle Infrastructure Platform products.
Deliver solution architecture advice, reviews, and conceptual support.
Analyze product problems to find resolutions.
Resolve new and complex issues, research technical enquiries, and handle user problems Support software installation, configuration, health checks, and performance assessments.
Educate customers on product features, issues, evolutions, upgrades, benefits, and patches
Deliver client-specific and proactive support of dedicated CCS customers to ensure operational excellence of Oracle Infrastructure & Platform deployments in the Cloud, on premise or both.
Act as a trusted technology advisor for our CCS customers with a deep knowledge of the customer's requirements and environments
Maintain effective professional relationships within the global CCS practice, with Oracle Technical Account Managers (TAM), Oracle Product Support and customer staff at various levels.
Desirable experience:
At least 6-10 years' hands-on experience in working with Oracle Database and Infrastructure products, in particular Oracle Engineered Systems including Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or comparable platforms.
Strong proven Oracle DBA experience are a prerequisite.
Hands on experience with IT Security, Oracle security products (Database Vault, Audit Vault, Database Firewall). OCI Security Professional certification or other Cyber security certification an advantage.
Advanced OS Administration skills with Unix / Linux are essential, additional Solaris, Solaris-Cluster and Windows skills are a plus
Must be willing to undertake or preferably has already undertaken the UK Government Security Vetting process at a higher level
This role requires UK Personnel meeting minimum requirements detailed below. UK Nationals who are eligible to support UK Government Environments can only be applicable for this Role. UK Nationals are individuals who hold at least one of the following government-issued documents.
