Role Purpose The Programme Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple interrelated projects within their sector or service area, ensuring successful delivery in alignment with Dalcour Maclaren's Project Management methodologies (DM Standards). The Programme Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders to support the development and implementation of sector / service / client group business plans and 5-year strategies. The Programme Manager is responsible for contributing to their Sector / Client Group / Service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including financial performance, resource allocation, and service quality. They will also maintain open communication with key stakeholders and ensure that sector projects adhere to DM Standards, delivering their intended benefits. Key Responsibilities As a Project Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact land access and infrastructure projects, while supporting strategic planning and operational excellence across the business. Your responsibilities will include: Project Delivery & Leadership Lead the end-to-end delivery of diverse land access and complex infrastructure projects, including regulatory compliance, vegetation management, and access schemes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, programme, and desired outcomes. Inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams, applying technical expertise and leadership to drive performance. Motivate, manage, and develop project teams, fostering a positive and high-performing culture. Promote innovation and continuous improvement to streamline delivery and increase efficiency. Strategic Planning & Alignment Ensure all projects align with organisational needs and long-term strategic goals. Support the Sector and Client Group senior teams in gathering and interpreting data to shape and execute the 5-year strategy. Monitor and report on sector performance against the annual business plan, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met. Financial & Commercial Management Manage project finances, promoting commercial awareness and accountability within teams. Oversee quoting, mobilisation, forecasting, and budget management across multiple projects. Identify and report on resource risks, gross margin, utilisation, and capacity planning. Ensure alignment with business objectives and maintain commercial viability throughout project lifecycles. Resource & Task Management Plan resources and implement effective structures to support strategic project delivery. Support Service and Delivery Leads by ensuring headcount data aligns with financial forecasts and recruitment needs. Oversee task assignment and completion across projects, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are effectively allocated. Quality & Compliance Ensure all projects adhere to established DM Standards for quality. Conduct quality assurance reviews and implement improvements across the programme. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements. Stakeholder & Change Management Implement and maintain stakeholder communication plans, ensuring transparency and engagement throughout project lifecycles. Manage change control processes, ensuring changes align with strategic objectives and are communicated effectively. Risk Management Identify and manage risks across the sector and individual projects, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation strategies are in place. Systems & Methodologies Work with geospatial teams to enhance digital mapping tools and systems. Contribute to the evolution of Dalcour Maclaren's Project Management Methodologies, including lessons learned and lifecycle improvements. Demonstrate expert knowledge of internal and external systems, encouraging their use to support project delivery. Continuous Development & Line Management Maintain and improve your own knowledge through CPD opportunities. Support and encourage team members in their professional development.
