Job Purpose
* Provide high level oversight of a busy audit function, ensuring effective communication on all aspects of audit compliance across the firm
* Review hot and cold audit and assurance files
* Identify new audit guidance and processes in line with the ever-evolving auditing standards, emerging trends, relevant issues, and review findings
* Manage relationships with external audit reviewers
* Lead liaison with the ICAEW on audit compliance matters, including managing regulatory visits and implementing recommendations
* Monitor audit training needs and champion professional development and skill sharing across the firm
* Plan and perform on-site audit due diligence visits and following up on post-completion file reviews
* Set an example as a hands-on Director

The Successful Candidate
* A proven track record operating at Audit RI or Audit Senior Manager level within an ICAEW or ACCA registered firm
* Technically proficient, with extensive UK external audit experience
* Strong leadership skills with good people management skills
* Excellent communication and advisory skills
* Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Self-motivated, hands-on and highly organised
* A team player that enjoys encouraging others to reach higher
* Constructive mentor to junior team members
* Confident in networking and representing the firm in a professional manner
