Are you looking for a way to propel your career forward?
If so, an apprenticeship could be the right next step in your career!
Apprenticeships at Enstar are permanent roles, and we’ll remain committed to help you grow after you’ve finished. Working in insurance is varied, and an apprenticeship opens new pathways of continuous learning and professional development that will shape your career trajectory for years to come. By working alongside Enstar experts, you gain access to a wealth of knowledge and industry insights.
Our four-year apprentice programme was created to support the next generation of talent in finding meaningful, structured professional development experiences and defining their future within the insurance industry, no matter their background.
As an Apprentice, you’ll join either our Claims or Operations teams and during the four-year programme, you’ll achieve an industry recognised Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification.
Claims
As an Apprentice, you will work with the Claims team gaining the necessary experience required to evaluate and resolve a variety of claims covering multiple lines of business such as Marine, Aviation, Professional Indemnity and General Liability and any associated claims related litigation. As a Claims team we are always looking to adapt and improve upon our processes whilst leveraging on technology, data and analytics to optimise results and drive continuous improvement.
During the programme, you will spend a couple of months with the Operations team, understanding their processes and how they support the Claims function and the wider business. Through this rotation you will also gain knowledge and understanding of the processes and technology which underpins the London Insurance Market.
Operations
As an Operations Apprentice, you will work with the Operations team delivering operational services, support and controls. The department is at a pivotal point in its strategy where we are looking to adapt and leverage technology, data and analytics to optimise processes and drive innovation and continuous improvement.
During your programme you will have the opportunity to spend a couple of months working with the Claims team to develop your knowledge of the function and how Operations and Claims work together. Claims is one of the key functions that Operations interacts with and therefore it is important for you to understand the different technical claims lines of business that we serve.
Responsibilities
During your time with Enstar, you’ll participate in numerous experiences to help build your personal and professional skills. Our onboarding programme will provide you with an introduction to our business, an overview of the insurance industry and you’ll be aligned with an Enstar regional executive who will act as your mentor. Throughout the programme you’ll be involved in local activities with the opportunity to network with our global team.
Our highly experienced experts are on-hand to support and mentor every intern to ensure you get:
Real-life industry experience
A variety of learning opportunities, including self-guided study and on-the-job-training

Through a structured on-the-job development programme, you will get the opportunity to put your learning into practice.
