Team Leader – Finance & Accountancy Recruitment
Start as a 360-Consultant. Build your own division. Own the P&L.
Gerrard White is ready to scale into the finance & accountancy talent market. We need a proven biller who’s frustrated with “just another desk” and wants the mandate and the runway to create something exceptional. You’ll spend your first six to nine months as a full-cycle consultant. As soon as your desk is established, then we will help you scale: hire, train, and run a specialised team under the Gerrard White banner. Finance and Accountancy isn't new to us, we have a number of relationships and roles we can have you jump straight into and a very strong brand based on capability and trust.

What you’ll do—Month 0-9
Scale your desk aggressively. Full 360 across permanent and/or contract finance & accounting roles. UK, US or both.
Map the market, prove the model, and tailor our growth playbook that you’ll later roll out.
Hit pre-agreed revenue milestones that trigger headcount sign-off.
What you’ll do around month 10 onward
Recruit, coach and lead a team of 360 and delivery consultants, with our full backing and support.
Own divisional P&L, budgeting and growth strategy.
Build key account frameworks and cross sell across the wider Gerrard White portfolio. We have a great upsell scheme in place for RPO/MSP and talent solutions.
Report straight to the board on performance, challenges and expansion plans.
Non-negotiables
Track record: £180k+ annual billings in finance/accountancy recruitment within the last 24 months.
Leadership edge: Evidence of mentoring or leading others, even informally.
Commercial IQ: You are solutions and relationship focused. You can price, negotiate and protect margin without blinking.
Resilience: You’ll thrive on achieving our combined goals, not shy away from them.
Credibility with CFOs & FDs: You speak their language, not recruiter clichés. We are professional, relationship focused value-adders. We don't believe that recuitment is transactional, we help transform businesses and support clients in anyway we can.
Nice-to-haves but not essential
Experience launching new teams, verticals or geographies.
Familiarity with RPO/MSP or embedded-talent solutions (we’ve got the toolkit ready).
Appetite for marketing, LinkedIn content building including video for your personal and team brand.
The package
Base: Dependant on experience
Commission: Starts at 30% then up to 40%. Quarterly threshold is half of base salary. Team incentive structure kicks in once you lead.
As long as you can get to our Tunbridge Wells office 3-4 days per month, we are very flexibility (output beats office clocking). You will have all the best-in-class tech you need to do your best work.
