Please note that, effective from 1 April 2023, candidates applying for roles requiring PVG membership will be responsible for the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above, currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour)
The Council will initially cover the PVG membership cost, which is either £18 for existing PVG scheme members or £59 for non-members. This cost will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
Job purpose/about the role
To lead and manage the affairs of the school, ensuring the delivery of quality education through the involvement of pupils, staff, parents, multidisciplinary agencies, and the community. This will be achieved in accordance with the authority’s strategic plan, the school’s improvement plans, national frameworks, legislation, and agreements.
