* Prepare, cook and serve meals, snacks, and desserts in accordance with the set menus. To include: breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks and supper, preparation and service.
* Prepare cakes and other 'special' items when required.
* Work with the team to plan menus, and ensure they meet the dietary needs of all our residents.
* Complete kitchen paperwork, in line with food hygiene standards
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of, and comply with food hygiene regulations.
* Be responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, food store, fridges and freezers.
* Manage stock levels, check the quality and quantity of received goods, and oversee stock rotation.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate clothing (free uniform supplied).
* Supervise other staff assisting in the kitchen.
* Report to maintenance/manager of any items in need of repair.
* Participate in ongoing training and development, to enhance kitchen services.
