SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker – Specialist Schools

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Whether you’ve gained experience through work, volunteering, or studies in fields like psychology, education, or mental health, we want to hear from you!
Teaching Personnel are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants and Support Workers to join specialist provisions across Stoke and Staffordshire this September.
These schools cater for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, trauma, learning difficulties, and behaviours that challenge.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing 1:1 or small group support
* Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and sensory needs
* Promoting a safe, nurturing learning environment
* Working with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
* Assisting with personal care if required (training provided)
We’re looking for people who:
* Have experience in SEN, care, or behaviour support (or hold a relevant qualification)
* Are calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
* Hold or are willing to obtain a DBS registered on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
