Maintenance & Facilities Manager

Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join an established manufacturing company in Newport, UK. The role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, building systems, and infrastructure, with a focus on compliance, safety, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
1. Plant and Equipment Management
o Oversee maintenance and repairs of all production equipment.
o Plan and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
o Coordinate PAT testing and maintain accurate records.
o Maintain the company plant register and asset database.
o Manage decommissioning of machinery on site.
o Act as the Responsible Person for site LOLER and LEV compliance.
2. Building & Facilities
o Manage building services installations and upgrades.
o Responsible for Legionella and emergency lighting record-keeping.
o Maintain and repair all building infrastructure including HVAC and gas appliances.
o Lead refurbishment and repair projects related to the facility.
3. Security and Safety
o Oversee site security systems and access control.
o Manage access credentials and act as a keyholder.
o Liaise with alarm monitoring services.
o Ensure contractor compliance with safety procedures.
o Support Emergency Action Plans and incident management.
Candidate Requirements
* Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification (experience considered).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* At least 1 year in a supervisory or team management role.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
