Your new role
As a CAD Designer, you will play a key role in delivering creative and commercially viable packaging solutions from initial concept through to production. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will respond to customer briefs with innovative designs that meet technical, environmental and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Producing high-quality structural packaging designs and technical drawings
* Developing innovative carton solutions in response to customer briefs
* Creating prototypes and visual concepts for customer presentation
* Collaborating with internal teams including Sales, Pre-press and Production to bring designs to market
* Producing multi-up layouts for costing and tooling requirements
* Researching new materials, trends and technologies to enhance design output
* Supporting the development of future opportunities and project pipelines
* Ensuring all documentation and design outputs are completed accurately and on time
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will have:
* A degree in a relevant design or engineering discipline
* Proven experience in packaging or carton design (ideally within the folding carton industry)
* Strong CAD capability, ideally using ArtiosCAD or similar packaging software
* Experience working to design briefs within tight deadlines and budget constraints
* A strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical design ability
* Experience with sample prototyping and technical presentations
You will also demonstrate:

* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers and internal teams
* A proactive and innovative mindset
* The ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing customer requirements
