Overview
Job title: Customer Service Engineer — Location: UK – Slough, Maidenhead M4 corridor.
Responsibilities
* Install, repair and maintain Malvern Panalytical’s market-leading instrumentation across the UK.
* Independently diagnose and resolve customer instrument issues, ensuring accurate and effective service.
* Deliver operational training to customers, primarily at installation, to ensure safe and efficient use of Malvern Panalytical instruments.
* Maintain high customer satisfaction by meeting service expectations and providing timely documentation, including work orders and mileage reports.
* Offer remote support via PC and phone; travel extensively as needed and assist with helpdesk and training activities.
* Manage company assets — spare parts, tools, vehicle and software — in line with company guidelines.
* Continuously update product knowledge and provide feedback to improve product quality and support sales efforts.
Qualifications
* Qualifications in Electronics, Chemistry to HND, or equivalent level.
* Demonstrable experience of working on customer sites.
* Proven experience in a customer field service environment advantageous but not essential.
* Experience of working with X-Ray or laser-based scientific instrumentation is an advantage.
* Current, full UK driving licence.
* Required to travel extensively throughout the UK to service instrumentation at customer sites and may require overnight stays.
