Copy editor

Requirements

• A keen eye for detail and a passion for editing and improving scientific text
• Excellent written and spoken English, along with strong computer skills (Excel and Word)
• The ability to manage tight deadlines and handle high workloads effectively
• Knowledge of Adobe InCopy or audio editing would be an advantage but is not essential
• An enthusiastic team player who takes pride in delivering high-quality work

• At EMJ, we are looking for a Copy Editor to produce high-quality content for our journals, newsletters, and website
• If you love refining details and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role could be for you
• Editing content to the highest standard by ensuring scientific information is clear, accurate, and engaging
• Proofreading text, tables, and figures, identifying errors, and ensuring everything follows EMJ’s house style
• Working with the editorial team to meet timelines for upcoming journal issues
• Supporting colleagues across departments while contributing as an enthusiastic team player
• Opportunity to contribute to content creation through writing news stories
• Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Mon-Fri
• Reporting to: Managing Editor
