Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: £45K yearly
Role overview
We are on the lookout for a CNC Machinist where you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating our machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role needs a strong understanding of machining techniques, 5 axis, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to delivering top-quality products.
Responsibilities
* Deputise and support the CNC Production Technical Lead
* Safely and efficiently operate CNC machines to produce components as per engineering drawings
* Operate Doosan Vertical with Nikken 4th Axis mill with Fanuc control
* Operate Doosan Lynx 2100 LSYA lathe with Fanuc control
* Operate Tormach 770 Vertical
* Operate Tormach 15L Lathe
* Work with engineering on new designs and provide input for design for manufacture
* Be a primary resource for programming
* Schedule work and allocate resources
* Choose appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for each job
* Provide inspection resource for first article and interim checks
* Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and report issues to maintenance
* Troubleshoot and resolve problems during machining
* Follow general organisational procedures, such as 5S
* Ensure all safety guidelines and protocols maintain a safe working environment
* Keep documentation of machine setup, tooling, and production data
* Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to achieve production goals and resolve technical issues
* Provide guidance to less experienced team members and educate when necessary
Requirements
* Experience with CNC milling and turning and CNC programming
* Knowledge of G-code and CAM software (Fusion 360; prior experience not essential)
* Knowledge of Solidworks would be advantageous but not essential
* Experience with quality control
* Good problem-solving skills
* Good understanding of engineering drawings
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
