RESPONSIBLE FOR: Pastry Chef, Commis Chefs
Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the pastry section. To maintain high standards of hygiene. To produce food to the required standards, following all published specifications and standards.
Main Responsibilities/Key Tasks
As Head Pastry Chef, you will operate the pastry section of the kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef and Assistant Executive Chef to deliver an excellent guest experience. You will plan production and develop seasonal offerings. Your responsibilities include:
1. Running the pastry section of the kitchen.
2. Reporting to the Executive Head Chef for the Pastry Section.
3. Ensuring excellent quality of dessert offerings.
4. Bringing creativity to pastry offerings.
5. Supervising Pastry Chefs and coordinating all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
6. Planning production to meet daily requirements.
7. Developing seasonal menu offerings.
8. Managing food cost controls to contribute to revenue.
9. Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
10. Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
11. Reporting equipment faults and defects.
12. Attending relevant training sessions.
13. Taking on additional responsibilities when necessary.
14. Familiarizing with our Core Values TITANIC and demonstrating the desired behaviors.
15. Adhering to company regulations regarding fire safety, health and safety, and food hygiene.
16. Maintaining proper attire and personal hygiene.
17. Undertaking special duties outside normal routines as requested.
