As one of our Quantity Surveyors, you'll deliver high-quality expertise that positively impacts society, the economy, and the environment. Enjoy opportunities to work closely with colleagues, clients, stakeholders, and contractors, leading smaller commissions or assisting on major projects. You will provide assistance to the office technical and surveying functions, focusing on delivering quality support and developing your practical experience and knowledge of quantity surveying. You have a positive aspiration to undertake further education aiming for a professional qualification with a recognized institutional body.
Your Purpose:
1. Providing support to experienced colleagues within your team. Proofreading documents to ensure they are complete and accurate.
2. Completing general administrative duties.
3. Developing your knowledge and experience of quantity surveying.
4. Applying principles of quality assurance and environmental management in line with the organisation's policies.
5. Understanding the organisation's policies for personal safety at work.
6. Developing and adapting your communication skills, especially with customers, reflecting the organisation's values.
7. Monitoring your interactions with others, in accordance with the organisation's values.
What can you bring:
* Possess at least five GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grades A-C and be committed to undertaking a Higher National Diploma followed by a degree course, or have sufficient qualifications for direct entry into a degree program.
* A clean driving license.
* Knowledge and understanding of construction forms and techniques.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
* Ability to write clear, coherent, and grammatical English.
* Understanding the importance of accuracy and demonstrating this in all work.
