COUNTER SALES ASSISTANT
This permanent, full-time position for our Gillock branch requires a person who is hardworking, conscientious, has a pleasant manner for communicating effectively with customers and colleagues and has the ability to work on their own or as part of a team dedicated to providing efficient customer service.
Main duties include but are not restricted to:
* Serving customers both trade and the public from the sales counter face to face and over the telephone using a computerised merchanting system.
* Providing assistance and advice on product requirements where necessary.
* Providing quotations to customers.
* Taking orders for delivery.
* Maintaining shop displays so they are adequately stocked, priced, and well presented.
Experience in the building or agricultural sectors would be preferred, although not essential but good organisational and communication skills, excellent customer service and a competent level of computer operation will be required.
Hours of work: 08.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with half hour lunch break making a total working week of 42.5 hours. Alternate Saturday working 8.00am to 12.30pm with time off in lieu.
