Job Description
The Mining, and Minerals business is looking to employ a Principal / Senior Mechanical Engineer to undertake concept study and engineering roles for mineral processing plants supporting small to large scale projects in a multi-discipline environment. A degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to layout, design and specification of mineral processing, metallurgical, and hydrometallurgical processing facilities, and materials handling facilities for studies and engineering contracts.
* Liaise with other engineering and project disciplines to ensure equipment requirements are captured and engineering information is fed back into the process plant design process.
* Specify and select equipment and engage with the equipment supply chain to ensure project needs are captured.
* Ensure work complies with required corporate and legislative requirements and procedures, maintaining consistency and quality of project delivery.
* Address and resolve functional issues within a project using technical capabilities and engineering judgement, generating innovative solutions where appropriate.
* Generate value‑adding options within projects to improve the chance of winning work and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
* A degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
