Family and Communities Worker

Full Time
Salary: From £28,000+ (depending on experience)

Minchinhampton Baptist Church (MBC) is experiencing exciting growth in our Children’s and Families Ministry—both in our Sunday gatherings and through our work in the wider community, particularly at the Minchinhampton Community Hub.

Minchinhampton is a beautiful Cotswold town, just 10 minutes from Stroud and 40 minutes from Bristol.

We believe God is calling us to be:

* More like Jesus
* Being Family
* Centred in Community

If you're passionate about this vision and have relevant experience and/or training in working with children and families to teach, inspire, and disciple, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview

Over the past year, MBC has welcomed many new families with young children and has seen significant growth in our community work through the Minchinhampton Community Hub. We are now seeking a full-time Family and Communities Worker to serve across both contexts, with a roughly 50/50 time split between church and community-based activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging family and community events (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Back to School, Mother’s/Father’s Day, Pentecost).
* Develop and lead activities at the Minchinhampton Community Hub, including:
o Minchkins toddler group
o Younger Youth (school years 2–5)
o Youth (school years 6–9)
o Senior Youth (school years 9+)
* Lead and support Sunday children's groups and crèche provision.
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of All-Age Worship Gatherings.
* Encourage and support the faith journeys of children and families.
* Work collaboratively with other paid staff and volunteer ministry leaders.
* Recruit, support, and empower volunteers through positive and nurturing relationships.
* Participate in existing work with Minchinhampton Primary Academy, including:
o Leading assemblies
o Visiting classes
o Offering curriculum input where appropriate
