Senior Site Engineer – Perth | PAYE Contract | Start ASAP
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Site Engineer to join their team on a major Waste Water Treatment Works project in Perth. This role will suit an experienced engineer with strong technical ability, excellent organisational skills, and confidence supervising teams and subcontractors on a busy civils site.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment
* Assisting with project planning, resourcing and coordination
* Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring alignment with programme
* Preparing, reviewing and implementing RAMS, ITPs, and other QA documentation
* Supervising and mentoring site engineers, graduates and placements
* Ensuring works comply with project specifications and raising RFIs/TQs where required
* Attending coordination meetings and updating progress
* Ordering plant and materials as needed
* Checking drawings, quantities and ensuring accuracy of information
* Maintaining strong working relationships across all levels
* Ensuring the BMS is followed throughout all stages of delivery
* Monitoring activities to ensure safety, programme and quality requirements are met
* Reporting and resolving non‑conformities
* Managing delays proactively and implementing mitigations
* Maintaining confidentiality and undertaking additional duties as required
About You
* HND or equivalent in engineering or project‑related discipline
* Experience within construction/civils, ideally water industry
* Proven track record delivering work within agreed parameters
* IOSH or SMSTS preferred
* Valid CSCS card
* Strong IT skills and confident communicator
* Ability to interpret data, drawings and technical information
* Advanced setting out skills (Level, EDM, GPS)
* Strong problem‑solving ability and proactive approach
