EDGE INNOVATE is currently recruiting for a Paint Shop Supervisor to join our busy Paint Shop. The Paint Shop Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Paint Shop facility to maintain a cost-effective and efficient manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery:
o Daily operational supervision of a team of paint shop operatives.
o Providing advice and guidance on all paint shop operations (blasting, prepping, painting, repairs).
o Coaching and mentoring operatives to develop skills.
o Estimating painting times, ovens, staffing, and costs to maximize efficiency.
o Developing and improving manufacturing methods with regard to Health & Safety and Quality standards.
o Planning workplace utilization.
o Performing quality checks before and after jobs.
o Minimizing re-work requirements.
o Servicing the Fitting Shop and meeting production targets.
o Reporting progress to the Production Manager.
o Liaising with management on capabilities and schedules.
o Monitoring and recording performance data to improve efficiencies.
o Streamlining purchasing to reduce costs and deliveries.
2. Performance Improvement:
o Applying the company's performance management system.
o Supporting staff in setting and achieving KPIs.
o Maintaining high personal and team performance standards.
3. Financial and Resource Management:
o Ensuring efficient and effective operation of the Paint Shop.
o Seeking innovative solutions for service improvements.
4. People Management:
o Providing leadership and ensuring high-quality service.
o Promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
o Participating in recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions.
5. General Management:

Person Specification:
Essential: Degree qualification, 2-3 years supervisory experience, on-the-job painting experience with heavy machinery.
Desirable: Management of a Paint Shop, management/leadership qualification.
