We are looking for FX Artists to join our team, working on an exciting 3D CG feature production for Dreamworks. As an FX Artist you will be responsible for designing and creating elements and effects across the project. You will work closely with the rest of animation pipeline to create seamless integration into shots. You will work collaboratively with your team to find the best technical and creative solutions in order to meet production needs and produce simulations that matches the high-quality vision for our projects. Responsibilities Working with your lead, supervisor and production to determine the needs of the project. Partnering with lead and identifying potential obstacles that could affect timelines and delivery schedules. Constructively handling and turning around feedback and critiques on your work. Supporting your team by collaborating and sharing knowledge and techniques. Building generalised FX set-ups and tools to help tackle various types of shots. Working with other departments such as lighting or compositing to provide the required quality of assets or render layers. What we're looking for Have at least five years of experience as a Houdini FX Artist in high-end production. Have a strong understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena which reflects in your effects work. Have excellent VEX scripting ability or can do magic with VOPs. Are a great team player, problem solver and communicator that can help meet project requirements and flag potential issues. Have a keen eye for visual detail, composition and timing. Are familiar with Nuke or similar compositing software. Nice to have Knowledge of Python. Experience with Solaris/Karma and the USD pipeline.
