JOB TITLE: Activity Attendant / Lifeguard
JOB REFERENCE: LG 07/25
REPORTING TO: Head of Spa Operations
HOURS: Full-time position based on 5 days out of 7, including weekend work. Shift patterns are varied, early morning/daytime and evenings.
LOCATION: Roe Valley, Limavady
SALARY: £12.21 per hour

About The Role
About the role:
The Lifeguard/Activity Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in water and playground/activity areas. This dual-role position involves monitoring water-based activities, enforcing safety regulations, supervising playground equipment use, and providing a safe and engaging environment for children and families. The activities you will be responsible for will be life guard, Jet Skis, Bungee Trampolines, Bouncy Castle, Mini 4x4s, Helter Skelter
Job Description:
The main duties include but are not limited to;
Lifeguard Duties:
* Monitor pool or water play areas to prevent accidents and ensure swimmer safety.
* Monitor use of Jet Skis
* Enforce facility rules and respond quickly to emergencies using appropriate rescue techniques.
* Administer first aid or CPR as needed
* Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
Activity Attendant Duties:
* Supervise children’s use of playground equipment and outdoor play activities.
* Interact positively with children to encourage safe and inclusive play.
* Set up and organize playground games or activities as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and safety of play areas (e.g., remove hazards, sanitize equipment).
The Person:
Essential Criteria, applicants must have;
* Proven experience of multi-tasking various job duties in a fast paced environment.
* A good customer service background.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Warm, friendly, and energetic with great pride in your overall appearance.
* A flexible work approach and be available to work weekdays and weekends.

* Experience or an interest in the hospitality industry.
Desirable Criteria;
* Previous experience working in a spa environment or leisure centre environment
* Experience or an interest in the hospitality industry
* Qualification/ Experience in Pool Life Guarding

* WSET Level 2 qualification
Required Criteria
* Excellent leadership skills
* Have at least 1 years experience working as a supervisor/assistant manager in a similar role
* Have extensive beverage knowledge and a passion for learning new skills
* Experience in controlling stock levels
* Have experience in carrying out opening and closing procedures of a bar, including till reconciliations and other key holder duties
* Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team
* Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Be an excellent team worker with a positive, friendly attitude
* Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work weekends and evenings
* Be performance-driven and focused on implementing a culture of excellent customer service
