A well-established and respected firm in Warwickshire is looking to recruit a Childcare Solicitor to join its growing family team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about public law children matters and is seeking a supportive firm offering long-term career development and flexible working.
The Role
From a recruitment perspective, this role offers a varied and rewarding caseload, with responsibilities including:
* Managing a caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings, supervision orders, and emergency protection applications
* Acting for parents, guardians, and children in complex and sensitive cases
* Preparing cases for court, attending hearings, and conducting advocacy where appropriate
* Working closely with local authorities, counsel, and other professionals
* Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and maintaining accurate file management
* Providing a high standard of client care in often challenging circumstances

About You
* Qualified Solicitor with experience in childcare/public law family work
* Legal Aid experience is advantageous
* Confident handling your own caseload with minimal supervision
* Strong advocacy and communication skills
* A client-focused and empathetic approach
