The family team has a strong reputation for NCDR and litigation work. A family Solicitor is required to support the team in its growth and to provide legal advice and representation in all matters related to family law. This includes divorce, child arrangements, financial settlements, domestic abuse, and other family-related disputes. The role demands both technical legal expertise and emotional intelligence to support clients through often sensitive and complicated situations. The Role Client Consultations and advice : Advise clients on legal rights and options in family law matters. Assess case viability and funding options To provide a written estimate of costs in line with the firm's protocols Legal documentation: To draft and negotiate pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce petitions, financial remedy orders and child arrangement orders. Prepare separation agreements and cohabitation contracts Court presentation: To represent the client in the family courts and tribunals To handle litigation in cases involving divorce, child custody, spousal support and domestic violence. Case management: To maintain accurate records and manage caseloads efficiently. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards Business Development: To build and maintain relationships with referral sources To participate in networking and training activities to grow both personal knowledge and expertise, and the practice. To support, train and develop more junior members of the team. Person Specification 10 years of family law knowledge. Strong negotiation skills. Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills, showing empathy to clients, gaining trust and respect. The ability to communicate complex legal matters. Keen business development and networking skills.
