We are looking to appoint a Food and Nutrition Technician to work under the direction of the Head of Food and Nutrition, providing practical assistance and support to teaching staff and students.
Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting teachers and students during practical lessons. You will prepare materials and ingredients, maintain equipment, and ensure that lessons run smoothly and safely. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an educational setting and takes pride in creating a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Have a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
* Have experience of working in a food or catering environment (school experience desirable).
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
* Able to work constructively as part of a team, and understand how children learn in order to support them.

Salary and Working Hours
Band 3: SCP 6 to 11 (25,989 to 28,142 pro rata) – actual salary: 17,424 to 18,868 for working 29 hours per week over 38 weeks.
To work 29 hours per week (5 days), term time only.
Schedule:
* Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9:30 am‑3:30 pm.
* Tuesday 8:00 am‑3:30 pm (some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the school).
