To manage the intake of all raw materials;
· Effectively manage and monitor waste levels;
· Highlight and report any quality issues to manager;
· Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and logged onto the computer system (SPUD);
· Maintain the stores and intake areas in a tidy and safe fashion at all times, removing any waste or broken boxes immediately;
· To ensure that there is enough stock on hand for grading and washing and for future requirements;
· Ensure that all boxes are correctly labelled and kept in an orderly fashion and accessible for inspection;
· Ensure that broken boxes are repaired or reported and held aside;
· Ensure that lorry drivers are dealt with politely, quickly and efficiently;
· Ensure that weighbridge procedures are carried out quickly, efficiently and in a safe manner;
· To help the Intake Manager and QA with any requests regarding stock and intake/stores sampling;
· Monitor stores accurately and communicate information to the relevant persons;
· Provide regular feedback on stores stock;
· Ensure that all intake and grading loads are recorded accurately and necessary documentation held on file;
· Communicate closely with Quality Intake Manager and the QA/QC on all quality issues and have a shared responsibility for stores quality;
· In co-operation with the maintenance staff, maintain both the fork truck and stores in a safe and clean condition;
· Ensure the silo and surrounding area are neat and tidy at all times;
· Report any unsafe operating conditions or maintenance problems immediately;
· Aid the grading stores personnel when needed;
· Act in place of a manager and other grading staff when they are sick or on leave;
· To manage and motivate your team effectively;
· Ensure you meet Company timekeeping and attendance requirements;
· Maintain competent factory and hygiene rules at all times;
· Ensure cow feed does not build up by ensuring it is removed on a regular basis;
· Check on a daily basis, that the Fork Trucks meet the required standard as set out by the Joint Committee of Industrial Training;
· Follow all Health and Safety guidelines as per Company Health and Safety policy;
