The successful SEN Teacher : Edgware will work with students with autism and moderate learning difficulties, delivering a practical and engaging curriculum focused on life skills, communication, employability, and preparation for adulthood.
About the Role
The SEN Teacher : Edgware will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet the varying needs of Post:16 learners within a structured and therapeutic environment.
Daily responsibilities for the SEN Teacher : Edgware may include:
* Delivering functional English, Maths, and life skills sessions
* Preparing students for independent living and future employment
* Creating engaging and accessible learning opportunities
* Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists
* Monitoring student progress and wellbeing

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Previous experience working within SEN settings
* Comfortable teaching Post:16 learners with additional needs
* Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
* Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
* Experience with autism and MLD is highly desirable
