Key Responsibilities
* Support the installation activities of the HPC MEH HVAC scope on site through collaboration and coordination with site teams, through to handover to commissioning.
* Work under the time pressure of the schedule in order to unblock technical issues to allow continuity of work by the installation teams.
* Act as part of a wider team of Leaders reporting to the Mechanical Lead supporting the delivery of the installation; ensure integration with the other areas of the team and other disciplines.
* Work with counterparts across the other disciplines in the MEH construction team, who perform equivalent roles for the other 4 disciplines of MEH.
* Support the Area and Building Leads, and Construction Engineers in day‑to‑day construction planning, engineering and works progression. Utilize the TVPM to drive Safety, Quality and Production.
* Accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the MEH construction activities.
* Ensure that preconstruction and installation are intrinsically linked, using the building engineers as required to facilitate sequencing of installation that maximises efficiency.
* Manage project change within your discipline ensuring that the project change process is adhered to, including construction documentation and scope change aspects of the contract.
Key Deliverables
* Manage technical issues relating to the installation of HVAC (construction activities), in particular:
* Write documentation for erection activities; ensure documents are compliant with the latest works information and other MEH documentation.
* Support technical queries and resolve construction open points.
* Coordinate all engineering activities to support construction sequence, including identification and implementation of improvements to processes and ways of working (e.g., redlining process on site).
* Ensure integration of needs for activities post‑construction (completion team) into the construction sequence (e.g., Commissioning Test Pack review and acceptance).
Key Requirements
* Degree in relevant construction discipline or HVAC engineering with extensive experience, or 10 years’ experience in a site construction management role.
* Working knowledge of HVAC systems and installation.
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* CCNSG Safety Passport (or MAPS).
* Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher.
* Proven experience delivering large‑scale construction or engineering projects, including a management level of authority. Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial, as is experience working with Joint Ventures.
