Category Manager - Danish market (fluent Danish) - £45,000-£50,000 London /hybrid
Are you a commercially minded, data-driven professional ready to take ownership of product categories in a fast-growing online business? We’re looking for a Category Manager to lead category performance on the Danish online market. You will be driving topline growth and improving bottom-line results through category strategy, pricing, promotions, and onsite optimization.
Your Role
As Category Manager, you will take full responsibility for steering your product categories to success. You’ll translate category strategies into actionable plans, working closely with central teams in vendor management, marketing, CRM, and pricing to ensure smooth execution. Your analytical insights and commercial acumen will help you make decisions that boost sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Sales Steering
* Contribute to the development of category strategies and turn them into clear, actionable plans.
* Collaborate with central teams to align execution across functions.
* Analyze category, sub-category, and product-level KPIs to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
* Actively manage and grow sales, driving acquisition, migration, and retention initiatives.
Pricing
* Monitor pricing dynamics and key bestseller trends.
* Recommend local price adjustments in alignment with the central pricing team.
Campaigns and Promotions
* Plan and execute campaign and promotion strategies in collaboration with central teams.
* Ensure accurate campaign setup, including marketing support, banner creation, and landing page setup.
* Track campaign performance, monitor budget, and optimize promotional impact.
Shelf Management
* Ensure optimal presentation of campaigns and products across the online shop.
* Contribute to on-site optimization, including search, up-selling, cross-selling, and product recommendations.
* Collaborate with shop operations on banner management, shelf arrangement, and content optimization.
Your Profile
* Relevant experience in FMCG and e-commerce, ideally within the pet sector, other industries will also be considered
* Native-level Danish and strong proficiency in English.
* Analytical, data-driven mindset combined with strong commercial acumen.
* Broad understanding of business functions and interdependencies.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Deep knowledge of local customer needs and market dynamics.
* Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
