Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from January. They are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping young people. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher looking to gain further school experience, or an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting change.
About the role:
Start-date: 5th January
Ongoing/long-term role with opportunity for a permanent contract
1-1 and group work involved
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working across KS1 and KS2 departments, supporting individuals who require additional learning and emotional support. You will work closely with the Class Teachers and parents/carers, to ensure the needs of the students are met and Individualised learning plans are created and implemented when necessary. Additionally, you may be required to cover PPA when necessary, ensuring pre-set work is completed and a positive and supportive learning environment is maintained.
What we’re looking for:
Experience working with young people
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
A genuine passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel
