We have an exciting opportunity for a registered health professional to join our Health & Safety Services Department as the Trust's trainer for moving and handling on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to lead the development and delivery of the Trust's moving and handling training strategy, aiming to prevent musculoskeletal injuries among staff and support their health and safety, which in turn enhances patient care.
Requirements include experience in staff training and ideally holding train-the-trainer certificates for moving and handling and evacuation equipment.
The post holder will be responsible for:
1. Acting as the Trust's competent person concerning the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as Amended) (MHOR).
2. Managing and delivering trust-wide systems to gather and act on patient safety and quality of care information related to moving and handling, in line with legislation and best practices.
3. Supporting a culture of quality improvement through data analysis, lessons learning, and audit cycles.
