Overview

Our client, a market leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance engineered products for the recycling sector, is seeking a talented, results-driven Head of Sales to lead the next phase of growth. This pivotal role will shape sales strategy, build international markets, and ensure disciplined execution across the UK, Ireland, and beyond.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own the sales agenda—establishing a data-led strategy and translating it into clear, well-executed plans. You will lead a capable team of sales and marketing professionals, fostering a high-performance culture built on trust, accountability, and a growth mindset.

The overall aim is to deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth: identifying routes to market, opening new international territories, securing multi-site customer agreements, and strengthening distributor partnerships.


Responsibilities

* Lead major business development activities; act as the company’s lead with key accounts and build long-term relationships with distribution partners.
* Represent the company at trade shows, product launches, and international forums; use market intelligence to inform product innovation and strategy.
* Develop and execute a data-led sales strategy with a clear plan for international market growth, multi-site agreements, and distributor partnerships.
* Guide and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team; foster a culture of trust, accountability and growth.
* Shape sales strategy and translate it into actionable plans aligned with the MD’s objectives.


Qualifications and experience

* Commercially astute sales leader with a proven track record in capital equipment or engineered solutions.
* Experience leading strategic planning and inspiring teams to execute and excel.
* Strong people leadership skills and experience developing new markets.
* Ability to operate across international markets and build durable customer and partner relationships.
