The Opportunity

With the AMP8 cycle well underway and delivery intensifying, we are seeking a Senior Principal Process Engineer with extensive Wastewater experience to drive major projects across the Midlands. This pivotal role can be based in Birmingham, Redditch or Derby.
You will serve as a key strategic advisor to our clients, leading the technical execution of ground‑breaking Wastewater projects from inception through to construction. Your expertise will guide Project Managers, ensuring high‑level execution that meets cost, schedule and quality objectives. Beyond project delivery, you will mentor and develop our regional team of Process Engineers and nurture strong, collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
About You
* Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or equivalent) and ideally Chartered Engineer status
* Demonstrable experience in the water industry
* Technical mastery in process calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development
* Experience in a design and construction environment is beneficial
* Strong leadership, communication and staff management skills to translate client needs into actionable solutions and foster a culture of continuous learning
