Estates Officer – Electrical

Job Summary:
The Estates Officer – Electrical is responsible for ensuring the Trust’s buildings and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. This includes managing electrical and mechanical systems, overseeing maintenance and improvement works, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., HTMs, HBNs), and supporting fire safety and environmental standards. The role involves supervising contractors, contributing to capital projects, conducting audits and risk assessments, and providing technical leadership within the Estates team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage planned and reactive maintenance across Trust properties.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, and building regulations.
* Support project planning, procurement, and contract administration.
* Provide technical advice and leadership to staff.
* Participate in on-call rota and emergency response duties.
Requirements:
* HND/C in Electrical Engineering with professional registration.
* Experience in healthcare estates management and HV systems.
* Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards
