Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician Higher Level based at University Hospital Crosshouse on a 12-month, fixed-term or secondment basis.
What you will do:
Participate in providing pharmaceutical services in the Dispensary at University Hospital Crosshouse. Provide higher-level technical support to pharmacy services within the hospital Pharmacy Dispensary. Responsibilities include producing training timetables, supervising staff, and working alongside the Dispensary Senior Team. Support the provision of the department dispensary service, undertake higher-level technician roles, and act as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician.
Knowledge, training, and/or experience required:
Experience in hospital pharmacy as a qualified pharmacy technician, including dispensary, ward, or clinical experience, and registration in the UK. Qualifications: SQA Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, PDA Assessment & Supply of medicines, and L&D9DI Assessor for SVQ Level 2 and 3 – Pharmacy Services.
Hours:
37 hours per week, participating in weekend, departmental, and public holiday rotas. Extended hours’ rota from 8 am to 8 pm. May require working over 7 days or extended hours.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
