My Client, a family-owned business that has grown year on year through continued investment in technology, systems, and people. This provides a stable, well-supported platform for sales activity and long-term customer development.
They are looking to appoint a motivated and commercially focused Sales Account Manager to develop customer relationships, convert opportunities into revenue, and contribute to the long-term success of the business
The Role
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for delivering profitable revenue growth through the development of new customer accounts and the effective management and expansion of a defined portfolio of existing customers.
This is a target driven role requiring a strong balance of new business acquisition and account growth. The post holder is expected to independently identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities aligned to the company's core competencies, while maintaining long term customer relationships.
The role carries clear performance expectations, revenue accountability, and responsibility for managing the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to order placement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify, target, and secure new customer accounts aligned with the clients core capabilities and strategic objectives.
2. Independently prospect and qualify new business opportunities using structured sales activity and CRM-driven planning.
3. Work closely with Marketing to support lead generation initiatives, presentations, and campaigns.
4. Collaborate with Estimating to support quotation development, commercial negotiation, and deal closure.
5. Build a sustainable pipeline of new business opportunities within HubSpot
6. Manage and develop a pre-determined portfolio of existing customer accounts.
7. Build long-term, trusted relationships at multiple levels within customer organisations.
8. Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements and proactively propose solutions.
9. Conduct regular customer meetings to review performance, identify opportunities, and secure repeat business
About You
10. Minimum 4 years' experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of new business acquisition.
11. Demonstrated ability to independently identify, pursue, and close customer opportunities.
12. Strong understanding of the full sales cycle, from prospecting to account management.
13. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
14. Commercially astute, with a focus on margin control and profitable growth
15. Confident operating in a fast-paced, manufacturing-led environment.
16. Strong IT and CRM capability.
