We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering complex and technically demanding projects across London. Due to sustained growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in concrete structures and cut & carve construction.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of projects, providing leadership to site teams and junior commercial staff while acting as a key commercial interface with clients and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full commercial leadership of concrete, substructure, and basement packages
* Cost planning, forecasting, and preparation of monthly CVRs
* Procurement strategy, subcontract negotiation, and commercial risk management
* Management of variations, change control, and contractual correspondence
* Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs
* Client liaison and contribution to commercial reporting at senior level
* Agreement of final accounts and close-out of projects
Experience Required
* Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or structures
* Demonstrable experience working on structures
* Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract
* Commercially decisive, confident managing risk, and capable of leading others
