Job Objectives And Responsibilities
To undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas Plant, including other tasks as required under contract in line with skills set
To ensure all PPM and Reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards
To carry out tasks within contractual SLAs/KPIs
This role is based in and around Fife and Edinburgh and will occasionally require working on other sites across the Central Belt
An Electric Van is provided as part of this role and a home charger will be installed
Will be a requirement to be part of an out of hours on call rota
Security Vetting will be required to MOD standard
Main duties
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate documentation
Carry out Reactive and emergency tasks and complete the associated documentation
Ability to produce permit to work/risk assessments as required
Identify and action any faults/remedial works inconjunction with the Helpdesk
Use handheld technology effectively to carry out all tasks
Assist other team members when required or as directed from Service Delivery Manager/Director
Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
Working with visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety
Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.
All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time, including purchase card receipts, timesheets and mileage returns
To forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on site clients at all times
To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
Person Specification
Qualified to City & Guilds Level or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role
Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment
Including, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators,
Batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)
Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
Strong customer care focus.
Good communication skills.
Proactive
Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults
Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
Must have a driving licence
Health And Safety Responsibilities
Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
