Overview
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Architect | Remote (Occasional office visit - Basingstoke) | £500-£600 p/day (Outside IR35) | 3-month contract
We are looking for a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Architect to lead the end-to-end design of a VCF 9.x multi-site environment. You will deliver a scalable, resilient, and simplified architecture, covering platform design, BC/DR integration, upgrades from existing environments, and knowledge transfer across the VCF Operations suite. The role includes running workshops with stakeholders, producing detailed design documentation, and supporting knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
* Design VCF 9.x for a production multi-site environment, including:
* Fault-tolerant core across two primary data centres
* Local survivability at remote sites in case of WAN failure
* BC/DR integration into the core design
* Security hardening via Aria Operations
* Health checks and upgrade paths from VCF 5.x
* Deliver designs for up to:
* 2 VCF Fleets
* 2 Management Domains
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience designing and delivering VCF or SDDC environments
* Expertise across vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Operations, and SDDC Manager
* VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) or equivalent senior certification
Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location. Some occasional travel may be required. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
