Brook Street has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Admin Officer to join our public sector client based in Leyland. This is a temporary assignment running until June 2026, with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to managers and frontline staff by undertaking transactional work in a specific area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Organising, producing, and maintaining accurate records
* Acting as the contact point for all communications to the team
* Prioritising and distributing communications to the appropriate person or relevant department
* Inputting requisitions into the finance database and processing requisitions
* Corresponding with relevant stakeholders and agencies to ensure effective information sharing
* Maintaining and checking establishment databases, manual filing systems, and logs of information, responding within agreed timescales, and producing reports as required
* Collating information related to Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs)
* Acting as secretary for meetings, including organising agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and tracking action points.
Requirements:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Microsoft Office packages
* Ability to prioritise workloads
* Weekly pay, holidays, and pension scheme
* Accessible by public transport
