Registered Nurses are employed by both the NHS and private medical centres, and are responsible for helping with the day-to-day care of patients. Registered Nurses have the following general duties regardless of which sector they work in:
* Create and maintain a supportive and caring environment for patients
* Respond to medical emergencies
* Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
* Administer and monitor patient medication
* Deliver routine medical procedures
* Observe patient symptoms and general condition
* Work towards expanding knowledge through relevant training and workshops
* Devise and monitor care plans for patients
Registered Nurses will need the following skills, qualities, and qualifications:
To join as a Registered Nurse, you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a current NMC registration.
