About the Role
 * 
 Work in a prison education setting within brand-new textiles workshops.
 * 
 Lead creative rehabilitation programs including:
 * 
 Material upcycling
 * 
 Handmade crafts
 * 
 Sewing garments for charitable causes
 * 
 Provide a safe and inclusive environment for participants to build confidence, learn skills, and find purpose.
 * 
 All marking, planning, and teaching done on-site.
Responsibilities
 * 
 Deliver textiles education and workshops for participants in custody.
 * 
 Supervise and support learners with diverse needs.
 * 
 Manage workshop schedules, stock, and reporting.
 * 
 Ensure health, safety, and security protocols are followed.
 * 
 Collaborate with the prison education team and access ongoing training.
Required Experience & Skills
 * 
 Experience in crafting, upcycling, or production, ideally in a leadership or teaching role.
 * 
 Strong organizational skills.
 * 
 Compassionate, patient, and inclusive approach.
 * 
 Awareness of health, safety, and security procedures, preferably in structured environments.
Qualifications
 * 
 Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
 * 
 A degree or professional qualification relevant to textiles or teaching.
 * 
 Recognised teaching qualification.
 * 
 Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies.
 * 
 Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
