Driver Hire Uxbridge are now recruiting for HGV Cat C (Class 2) HIAB Drivers on behalf of our client, one of the UK’s fastest growing builder’s merchants based in Hayes
£20.50 to £24.50 per hour (PAYE, including holiday pay)
Rates vary depending on experience, and overtime
Monday to Friday 05:30am starts daily
Typical Shifts:
1. You will carry out multidrop deliveries to commercial customers and building sites
2. Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time
3. Secure loads correctly using appropriate methods (e.g. strapping)
4. Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues
5. Carry out routine vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, fluid levels, etc.)
6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
7. Comply with all road safety and driving regulations
8. Adhere to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
9. A flexible approach to working start times as dictated by the needs of the business.
Requirements:
10. Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence held for at least 2 years (maximum 6 penalty points; no DR, DD, TT, IN, or MS90 endorsements)
11. Valid HIAB certification
12. Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
13. Minimum age of 25 (insurance requirements)
14. At least 1 year of Class 2 HIAB driving experience (references required)
15. Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
16. Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
17. Good understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
