Front of House – Tillingham Winery & Hotel
Location: Peasmarsh, near Rye, East Sussex
Tillingham is a progressive and award-winning winery, hotel and Michelin Green Star Restaurant set on a beautiful 70-acre farm near Rye. We produce natural wines and offer a unique hospitality experience that celebrates the connection between food, farming, and wine.
We are looking for an experienced Front of House professional to join our dynamic team. This is a key role within our busy restaurant and bar, requiring confidence, efficiency and a genuine passion for hospitality and low intervention wine.
About the Role
As part of the Front of House team, you'll ensure that every guest receives a warm welcome and a memorable experience, whether they're dining in the restaurant, enjoying pizza in the barn, or visiting for a wine tasting. You'll work closely with our Restaurant Manager and wider team to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a consistently high level of customer service across all areas of Tillingham hospitality.
* Greet, seat, and engage with guests in a warm and professional manner.
* Maintain a strong knowledge of our menus and wines, confidently sharing recommendations.
* Support service in both the restaurant and casual dining areas as required.
* Handle reservations, billing, and customer queries efficiently and accurately.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen, bar, and events teams to ensure smooth service.
* Uphold Tillingham's values of sustainability, quality, and authenticity.
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar high-end restaurant or hotel environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passionate about food, wine, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* A positive, proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
* Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Own transport essential – Tillingham is in a rural location not served by public transport.
