What will this role achieve?
This is a -month fixed term contract for a qualified chef with foodservice and restaurant experience who has studied the culinary arts.
As an R&D Junior Development Chef in our Taste Centre of Excellence, you will be part of a team that aims to put culinary, taste and flavour at the heart of product innovation. You will do this by connecting culinary arts, creating culinary gold standard products, using consumer insights and science with product design.
Your key responsibility will be to support the lead culinary chef and technical team in delivering key projects, trend reports, culinary led product showcases and fairs.
What will be your key results?
1. Hands on experience in the kitchen working alongside our lead culinary chef, flavour and application specialist to create gold standard culinary products to demonstrate winning flavours and seasonings that can be applied to our product portfolio.
2. Support development of new flavours and seasonings for sweet and savoury projects
3. Support compiling culinary and flavour trends reports, product & cuisine showcases and supporting bringing culinary and flavour to life across the business.
4. Other activities will include event planning, arranging product tastings, ordering samples, liaising with suppliers, attending factory trials and networking within the culinary & foodservice landscapes.
