Responsibilities
* Strong understanding of complex equipment and both minor and major adaptations, including Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG); implement minor adaptations and apply sound clinical reasoning.
* Undertake assessments and reviews within the home environment, providing advice, guidance, signposting to other services, and recommending and supplying standard and bespoke specialist equipment.
* Conduct manual handling assessments and risk assessments, and collaborate with partner organisations such as the NHS, local authorities, schools, and the Child Development Centre (CDC).
Qualifications
* Degree or postgraduate/professional qualification in Social Occupational Therapy.
* Valid HCPC registration.
* Ideally 2 years of direct experience in an OT role.
