Our client, an Insurance broker, is a boutique, quality‑driven insurance business with a genuine personal touch. They pride themselves on doing things properly — offering tailored advice, building lasting relationships, and delivering exceptional client service.
They are now looking for a Client Executive to join their growing team and play a key role in developing and managing a portfolio of commercial clients.
The Role
You’ll be at the forefront of our business — working directly with clients, understanding their risks, and delivering expert insurance solutions.
This is a client‑facing, growth‑focused role where you’ll manage your own pipeline, build relationships, and contribute to the continued success of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Client Relationship Management
* Act as a trusted, client‑facing representative of the business
* Meet clients (in person & virtually) to understand their business and risks
* Provide professional advice on commercial insurance solutions
* Prepare and present renewal reports and market presentations
* Deliver outstanding service throughout the policy lifecycle
Business Development & Pipeline Management
* Build and manage your own pipeline of new business
* Generate leads through networking, referrals, and introducers
* Attend events, exhibitions, and client functions
* Identify cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities
* Work towards agreed income and activity targets
Market & Insurer Engagement
* Work closely with the internal broking team to secure the best terms
* Build strong internal relationships to support client outcomes
Compliance & Regulation
* Operate in line with FCA requirements and internal processes
* Ensure all advice and documentation is compliant and auditable
* Maintain accurate records and excellent file hygiene
* Follow Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
Systems & Administration
* Use Acturis (preferred) to manage policies and documentation
* Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline reporting
* Record all client communications appropriately
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Experience in commercial insurance or financial services (broking or underwriting)
* Confident and credible in a client‑facing role
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
* Understanding of FCA regulatory framework
* Proactive, professional approach to business development
Desirable
* Acturis experience
* Working towards (or willing to undertake) CII qualifications
* Experience generating business through networking
