Position: Science Teacher Location: Worcester Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Science Teaching Role in a Mixed Secondary School A mixed secondary school in Worcester is seeking to appoint a Science Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and inclusive school that values academic achievement, practical learning, and high-quality teaching. The Science department delivers a broad curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with students encouraged to develop curiosity, analytical thinking, and investigative skills across all key stages. About the Role You will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ scientific understanding, practical skills, and analytical thinking. The role includes both classroom teaching and practical laboratory work, helping students build confidence in experimentation, data analysis, and scientific reasoning. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations, supporting students in developing strong subject knowledge, scientific literacy, and exam technique. You will work collaboratively within a successful Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Maintain safe laboratory procedures and environments Contribute to STEM enrichment and departmental development The School Environment This mixed secondary school in Worcester provides a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve strong academic outcomes and develop confidence as learners.
