This is a hybrid role based out of Derby, requiring 2‑3 days per week onsite.
A Service Manager with a technical background will work with the Operational Lead to oversee the Security Engineering Team (SET).
The team delivers IT Security Services to a client in the Aerospace industry. The role has responsibility for overseeing delivery of:
* Run activity – monitoring and acting as required on the health of various security tools.
* Incident response – responding with appropriate actions regarding tooling within the remit of the SET.
* Triaging requests to the Engineering Team mailbox and Service Management intake queue, ensuring ownership within the wider team is appropriately assigned.
Your role
* Ensure the integrity of client IT infrastructures and follow core IT service management principles.
* Maintain and support security toolsets including Microsoft Security Stack, Email Gateway, SIEM, IDPS, GVM, and malware protection.
* Ensure the team records and responds to health alerts from security infrastructure.
* Tune and enable policies, features and enhancements as required in response to security incidents and client requests.
* Apply IT service management expertise in incidents, change control, problem and knowledge management.
Skills and experience
* Understanding of security threats, compromises, server, client and network technologies; ability to learn new technologies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, client engagement, time management and expectation management; remain calm under pressure.
* Knowledge of MS Cloud Security including Email Gateway, Sentinel, Defender, E5 licensing suite, Data Loss Prevention techniques and operational management of security capabilities.
* Expertise in client and stakeholder management in a multi‑supplier, multi‑vendor environment.
