Brightwork's client is currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance.
Please note that this role will consist of dayshift and nightshift
Responsibilities
* Perform reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
* Overhaul, adapt, and carry out improvements on existing machinery.
* Mechanically biased role with some electrical work involved.
* Replace bearings, inspect compressors, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.
* Complete all documentation to a high standard.
* Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
* Mechanical bias with Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
* Mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
* A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.
* Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.
* 44 hours per week
